Introducing:
MachineEye
... the video centering microscope that is designed to give...
Vertical Milling Machines, Jig Borers, Jig Grinders, Sinker EDMs and more...
on-machine video setup, inspection, and measurement capabilities.

MachineEye enables machine tool operators of any skill level to quickly and easily:
-
Check their machine tool for positional accuracy
- MachineEye enables the machine tool operator to verify that his machine's xyz stage and numerical
position display are accurate enough for the job at hand.
This pre-qualification of a machine can be done prior to a run of a part that calls for particularly high tolerances or
periodically to evaluate the performance of a machine.
A precision gage plate is included for this purpose.
-
Set up their work piece
-
With MachineEye even the most challenging work piece can easily be set up.
MachineEye can be used as an instant video edge finder that simultaneously
identifies two perpendicular edges of a work piece.
It can also be used to locate a hole, or even an engraved or otherwise marked point on the surface of the part.
-
Measure parts they are working on without disturbing the setup
-
Since MachineEye mounts right into the machine's spindle, the machine tool operator can now check the accuracy of the part he is working on without disturbing the setup. Verifying critical dimensions of work in progress before proceeding to the next step in machining prevents scrap and waste.
-
Inspect finished parts right on the machine that produced them
-
When installed into a vertical milling or similar host machine MachineEye converts the machine into a Coordinate Measuring Machine by utilizing the machine's xyz stage and numerical position display.Since the operator prequalified his machine for the job at hand, he can depend on its accuracy for the inspection.
In addition:
-
The touch probe of a CMM with manual point input can be replaced with MachineEye to allow for non-contact magnified video measuring.
-
Tool offsets in a CNC lathe equipped with a multi-tool holder can be quickly measured with MachineEye using an optional lathe adapter.
